WELCOME TO DIZON'S ARABIAN AND HALF ARABIAN HORSES

Introducing JAYA the son of legendary DESPERADO V out of National Champion LITIGATOR'S daughter SCAT VA full sister to National Champion VA SCOUNDREL (Litigator x Chrismiss) owned by Sheik Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Arab Emirates.

INTRODUCTORY STUD FEE $1000.00

JAYA is a typey Arabian Stallion (small head, arched neck, dishy face, short back and Arabian top line ), black bay, 15' 1"+, muscular and lots of substance. He has 7 7/8" cannon bone.

Natural and not stacked. Stacking or posing a horse by expert handler is good and very impressive, however an expert handler in halter shows can make mediocre or even the weak  or horse with poor conformation look good. As for me, I would rather be on a trail riding him than spend time training him how to stack or pose.

THE POWER OF PEDIGREE

I have been asked, "why have expensive horses when you don't have plan of showing them? I believe there is a misconception that if your horse can not make it in the show ring, he will be suited for performance such as pleasure, trail or endurance. This maybe true if trail or pleasure riding to you means riding short distances in the neighborhood and the horse is just your pet. And most of all, you don't have plan of breeding the horse anyway. If this is the case, any horse is just fine. However, if trail riding to you means going long distance and going up and down 5,000 to 9,500 ft elevation with your horse without any complaint and problem, or going in the trails for few days, what makes you think a reject or horse with poor conformation will do just fine?

THE SADDLE HORSE AND ENDURANCE HORSE

As a conscientious breeder, you only breed horses with correct conformation and bloodlines  that can perpetuate the characteristics that can go extreme for pleasure, trail, or endurance riding and have the ability to traverse rough country because they have the correct conformation and attitude coming from a well planned breeding of champions or proven producer of champions such as Desperado V and Scat VA.

THE CREATION OF JAYA AS A SADDLE HORSE AND ENDURANCE HORSE

In the 1980's while doing my research on Arabian horses, I was attracted to National Champion LITIGATOR, the sire of Jaya's dam. He was one of the many stallions I checked out. He looked very strong and good looking in his picture. I said to myself this must be an exceptional horse. I was very impressed when I finally saw him in person. He was well balanced, lots of substance (heavy boned) and like Desperado V, his legs were very straight (correct). But lo and behold his stud fee was $5,000,00 higher than Desperado V's $4,000.00 and other stallions around at the time and this was in the 80's. After long negotiation, I was able to purchase his four year old daughter Scat VA, full sister to national champion VA Scoundrel.

Note: Litigator was exported to Brazil where he met his untimely death thereafter.

I had several foals from Scat VA from my other stallion before I finally decided to breed her to the number one stallion in the US at the time which I believe is an all around horse, Sheila Varian's Desperado V.

YOU MORE LIKELY KNOW SHEILA VARIAN AND DESPERADO V, THE SIRE OF JAYA BUT WHAT ABOUT HIS DAM SCAT VA, IS SHE GOOD?

Scat VA, daughter of national champion LITIGATOR, full sister to national champion VA SCOUNDREL, owned by the Sheik of Abu Dabi, Prince Zayed Al Nahyan is the dam of Jaya. She is very beautiful as well as functional. As a high performance horse, at twenty-one, she is still my favorite mount. I ride her on the trail, downhill and uphill without any problem and complaints. A horse lady who is aware of her age was so impressed by her on one of our trail rides that turned into a friendly race. She even asked me at one time what was my secret, what do I feed her? I said I don’t have any secret. I just see to it that she gets her proper nutrition such as good hay and supplement (Purina Senior) being a senior horse. But I believe her correct conformation, straight legs, high wither, short back, proper girth size for lung capacity, lots of substance (she has over 7 ½ cannon bones), etc. contributed highly to her exceptional performance. She also passes these attributes to her offspring. Since I purchased her I never have to call a veterinarian for her except when she had “JAYA” or to give her and the rest of my horses rabies shots and westnile  vaccination (now a layman can administer westnile virus vaccine).

note: I have been riding Scat since she was 5 years old, as of this writing and photos she is about 22 years old.

SORRY NO DROP BYS OR WALK  IN UNANNOUNCED. YOU HAVE TO CALL FOR APPOINTMENT TO VIEW JAYA AND HIS OFFSPRING
